Shashin Shah

Shashin Shah is the Founder and Managing Partner of Think Investments, a global investment firm headquartered in San Francisco with offices in Mumbai and Singapore. He oversees all aspects of the firm's investment strategy, currently managing over $3 billion in discretionary assets, and guides multi-year investments in both public and private companies. Shah leads Think Investments in its sector focus on technology-led early-stage businesses, and has made notable investments across financial services, healthcare, technology, and consumer sectors—especially in Asian markets, with a significant concentration in India.

Prior to establishing Think Investments in 2013, Shashin Shah served as a Partner at Valiant Capital, where he covered global markets including the US, Europe, Asia, Middle East, and North Africa, and he previously worked at Blue Ridge Capital and Morgan Stanley. His portfolio management expertise is reflected in Think’s top holdings, which include major positions in Amazon, TaskUs, MercadoLibre, ICICI Bank, and Reddit, and he sits on the boards of companies such as Chaayos and Dream11.

Shah holds an MBA in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from the University of Mumbai. Renowned for his primary research-driven approach and deep experience in global and emerging markets, he has built a reputation for backing differentiated, high-growth businesses in the technology, financial services, and consumer sectors, particularly in India and Asia.
