Nick Sertl

Nick Sertl is an analyst at ThornTree Capital Partners LP, a Boston-based investment firm specializing in global, fundamental long-short public equity strategies. At ThornTree, he contributes research and investment analysis across both long and short positions, focusing on dynamic global markets impacted by shifts in consumer trends and technological advancements.

Prior to joining ThornTree, Nick was an investor at The Ferrante Group, a single-family office, where he managed a broad portfolio spanning public equities, private equity, venture capital, and digital assets. He also spent five years in investment banking at J.P. Morgan, gaining experience in capital markets and transaction advisory.

Nick holds a BS in Chemistry-Engineering from Washington & Lee University, where he was a Johnson Scholar, and an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School as a Darden Foundation Scholar. He is a CFA Charterholder, and his expertise includes public equities, merger arbitrage, and alternative assets in both developed and emerging markets.
