Mark Forti

Mark Forti serves as Senior Managing Director and Head of Origination at Callodine Credit Management, part of Callodine Capital Management, LP, based in Massachusetts. In this role, he leads the sourcing, origination, and structuring of new lending investments, focusing primarily on asset-based lending (ABL) and private credit transactions.

His core expertise encompasses asset-based credit, restructuring, and collateral and financial analysis, with a targeted focus on lending to national retailers and companies requiring flexible secured debt solutions across various industries, particularly within the U.S. commercial middle market. Over his 34-year career, Forti has held pivotal roles at institutions including Gordon Brothers Finance Company (now Callodine Commercial Finance), GE Capital—specializing in ABL for retailers—and Bank of America, where his work spanned structuring, underwriting, and origination of complex credit transactions.

Forti holds a BS from Bryant University and an MBA from Bentley University. Recognized for his leadership and strategic dealmaking, he has played an instrumental role in building and professionalizing teams, expanding capital access, and advancing best practices in asset-based lending—a sector he has helped shape over three decades.
