Kate O'Donnell

Kate O'Donnell is an Analyst at Hillman Capital Management, Inc., where she focuses on assessing the competitive dynamics and valuation of companies. She joined the firm in 2022 and is based in South Carolina, bringing analytical rigor to the identification of undervalued quality businesses primarily within the value equity investment philosophy.

Her investment research primarily covers U.S. equities, with a focus on sectors and companies exhibiting sustainable competitive advantages that align with Hillman Capital’s value-driven strategy. She contributes to both the Advantage Value Equity and Balanced Conservative strategies, which combine equities and fixed-income securities to serve diverse client needs.

Prior to joining Hillman Capital Management, Ms. O'Donnell served as the Sailing Director at The Carolina Yacht Club, where she managed operations, budgeting, marketing, and employee development. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina, where she was captain of the university’s sailing team and recognized for academic and leadership excellence, including induction into the Hall of Leaders and the ICSA All-Academic Sailing Team.
