Ryan Nixon

Ryan Nixon is the founder and managing partner of Nixon Capital, LLC, an investment firm based in Austin, Texas. As CEO, Portfolio Manager, and principal owner, he leads the investment team, oversees portfolio construction, research processes, and risk management, and manages the firm’s analyst intern program. Nixon Capital provides discretionary investment management for separately managed accounts and pooled vehicles, focusing on generating superior returns for clients.

With over 20 years of investment experience, Ryan began his career as an equity analyst at Hester Capital Management before founding Nixon Capital in 2008. His expertise spans publicly traded equities across multiple sectors, with a recent focus on U.S. consumer goods, travel and leisure, retail, and technology, as reflected in the firm's significant holdings in companies like Carnival Corp, Uber, PayPal, and Deckers Outdoor. He has also served in advisory roles for the University of Texas and as chair for Austin PBS, demonstrating engagement in both industry and community leadership.

Ryan holds both a BA and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin, underpinning deep expertise in investment analysis, portfolio management, and risk controls. His leadership at Nixon Capital is characterized by rigorous fundamental research and a disciplined, long-term approach to value-oriented equity investing.
