Alex Yakirevich

Alex Yakirevich is the President and Chief Investment Officer of Pier Capital, LLC, based in New York, where he directs the firm's day-to-day operations and leads its research team. In his role, he serves as Portfolio Manager for Pier Capital’s Small and SMid Cap Growth investment strategies, focusing on U.S. growth equities within small and mid-cap segments.

With over two decades of experience, Alex joined Pier Capital in 2004, progressing from Financial Analyst and Portfolio Manager to leadership. Prior to Pier Capital, he held roles in equity research at Richmond Consulting and Research, specializing in pair-trade strategies for U.S. and European equities, and earlier positions at Individual Investor Group, Value Line, and Prudential Securities, where he honed his expertise in financial analysis and investment selection.

Alex holds both a BS and MBA from New York University, underpinning his extensive background in investment management and capital allocation. His notable contributions include leadership in small and SMid cap public equity investing, a disciplined research approach, and a demonstrated ability to manage and grow client assets in the institutional asset management sector.
