Darius Gagne

Darius Gagne, PhD, CFA, CFP®, is Partner and Chief Investment Officer at Quantum Financial Advisors, LLC, based in Santa Monica, CA. In his current role, he co-leads the firm and oversees investment strategy, portfolio construction, asset allocation, and direct client advisory, serving high-net-worth individuals and families. His responsibilities include managing wealth through diverse market conditions, advising on retirement income, real estate, company stock and options, estate strategies, and tax reduction.

With over 25 years of experience in finance, Darius began his buy-side career as a quantitative analyst specializing in derivatives in New York in the late 1990s, then served as a financial engineer and portfolio manager at Pacific Investment Management Company (PIMCO) in the early 2000s. He co-founded Quantum Wealth Management in 2005, which later evolved into Quantum Financial Advisors, and also led the firm through a merger with Abacus Wealth Partners in 2012 before re-establishing Quantum in 2022.

His expertise encompasses multi-asset class portfolio management with a focus on equities, fixed income, alternative investments, and complex financial instruments including derivatives. Darius holds a PhD in Physics, an MBA, and a BS in Physics from UCLA, and is recognized for guiding clients through multiple market crises, integrating advanced financial engineering into wealth management, and being an active voice in industry discussions on innovation and investment best practices.
