Denise Farkas

Denise M. Farkas, CFA, serves as the Chief Investment Officer at Sigma Investment Counselors, based in Cleveland, OH. In her role, she is responsible for overseeing the firm’s investment strategy, leading the investment team, and ensuring portfolio construction aligns with Sigma's investment philosophy and clients’ objectives. She has held this position since 2007 and reports directly to the firm’s Chief Executive Officer.

Denise specializes in the management of multi-asset portfolios, with a particular focus on equity and fixed income securities, as well as overseeing securities research and fixed income management support for client portfolios. Her investment expertise encompasses both individual and institutional client segments, advising on asset allocation, security selection, and risk management strategies tailored to each client’s profile.

In addition to more than a decade of leadership at Sigma, Denise brings distinguished credentials as a CFA charterholder and is recognized for her analytical acumen and dedication to fiduciary excellence. She holds a degree from Emory University and is also noted for her contributions as a mentor within the organization, playing a key role in developing Sigma's investment team and processes.
