Eric Lutton

Eric Lutton serves as Chief Investment Officer at Sound Income Strategies, where he is responsible for leading the firm's investment platform and strategy. Based in Boca Raton, FL, he oversees the management of actively managed fixed income portfolios, with a particular focus on strategies designed to generate consistent income for retirees and conservative investors.

His expertise centers on a range of income-generating asset classes, including traditional fixed coupon instruments, business development companies (BDCs), real estate investment trusts (REITs), preferred securities, and select non-core bond ETFs. Eric is instrumental in managing FXED—Sound Income's actively managed ETF that incorporates a mix of investment grade, high-yield, and alternative fixed income assets to optimize risk-adjusted returns and reliable yield.

Eric's career began on the floor of the Chicago Board Options Exchange and later included institutional fixed income trading at JVB Financial, as well as principal responsibilities at OCG LLC. He is a CFA® charterholder and is recognized for building Sound Income Strategies' platform to nearly $4 billion in assets under management, emphasizing active management and bottom-up security selection within the complex fixed income landscape.
