Nathalie Cunningham

Nathalie Cunningham serves as Deputy Chief Investment Officer at Strategic Investment Group in Washington, DC, where she shares responsibility for all aspects of the firm’s investment process, including portfolio construction and implementation for client portfolios. Her role covers oversight across both traditional and alternative asset classes, reflecting broad expertise in public equities, fixed income, hedge funds, and private markets.

Previously, Nathalie was Senior Investment Officer at Cornell University, managing investments for the $10+ billion endowment with a specific focus on multi-asset class strategies including public markets and alternatives. She also served as Director of Public Markets Investments at the University System of Maryland Foundation, and has held roles as Partner and Portfolio Manager at Terrapin Asset Management, LLC.

Nathalie holds an M.B.A. from NYU Stern and a B.A. from McGill University, with professional designations as both a CFA charterholder and a CAIA charterholder. She is recognized for her industry leadership, serving as chairperson of the American Chemical Society’s Pensions & Investments Committee and as an advisor to several organizations including the Girl Scouts of the Nation’s Capital and the CFA Society of Washington, D.C..
