Jennifer Wallace

Jennifer Wallace is a founding partner, Chief Investment Officer, and Portfolio Manager at Summit Street Capital Management, LLC, a value-focused investment firm based in the United States. In her current role, she leads the firm's U.S. public equity investment efforts, managing both a commingled fund and separately managed accounts. Her responsibilities include overseeing portfolio strategy, executing deep fundamental research, and guiding the firm's disciplined value investing philosophy.

Wallace specializes in the value investing approach, seeking high-quality, undervalued companies—primarily U.S. public equities of generally global businesses—available at significant discounts. She emphasizes a concentrated portfolio, selecting stocks based on financial strength, sustainable earnings, strong balance sheets, and sound management, while often maintaining significant cash allocations to capitalize on market dislocations. Her expertise lies in identifying businesses overlooked by the market, particularly those not included in major indices, and employing conservative criteria including net cash positions and high free cash flow yields.

Before co-founding Summit Street Capital Management in 2009, Wallace was a manager at the Robert M. Bass investment groups (leading Emerald Value Partners and co-managing Alpine Capital), a consultant at McKinsey & Company, and an investment banker. She holds a BA from Columbia College and an MBA from Columbia Business School, where she earned Beta Gamma Sigma honors. Wallace has delivered consistent outperformance over more than 15 years and serves on the Advisory Board for the Heilbrunn Center for Graham & Dodd Investing at Columbia Business School, highlighting her contributions to both practical investing and the broader investment community.
