Michael Nix

Michael Nix is the President and Chief Investment Officer at Verity Investment Partners, based in Beaufort, South Carolina. He oversees all aspects of the firm's investment strategy, guiding the vision and leadership of the organization while maintaining direct responsibility for the implementation of its investment philosophy and process. Nix has been instrumental in establishing Verity’s reputation as a top-tier asset management firm recognized for its dividend growth investment strategies.

With over 25 years of experience in the investment industry, Nix previously held leadership positions including Co-Lead Portfolio Manager for the Goldman Sachs Rising Dividend Growth Fund at Dividend Assets Capital, and Co-CIO at other prominent investment firms. His expertise centers on equity portfolios with a particular focus on dividend growth investing—targeting high-quality companies across sectors with sustainable and rising dividends, primarily within the U.S. equity market.

Nix holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The Citadel and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He is also active in South Carolina’s economic development community as Chairman of the Jobs and Economic Development Authority (JEDA) and has contributed significantly to the advancement of early-stage and venture investment in the state.
