Claire Zhang

Claire Zhang is a Senior Associate at Decheng Capital, a California-based venture capital firm, where she plays a key role in sourcing, due diligence, and execution of investments, with a focus on innovation in the healthcare and life sciences sectors. Her responsibilities include evaluating early-stage and growth-stage biotech, medical device, and digital health companies and supporting portfolio management for Decheng's strategic investments in these industries.

Prior to joining Decheng Capital in mid-2025, Claire developed extensive financial expertise as an Investment Banking Associate at Morgan Stanley, where she worked on M&A and capital markets transactions, and previously as an Investment Banking Summer Associate. Her skillset includes transaction analysis, sector research, and deal execution across healthcare and technology verticals.

Claire holds an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Master's in Public Policy from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago. She also earned bachelor's degrees from Peking University and Sciences Po, giving her a global perspective and strong analytical foundation for evaluating investments that advance medical innovation and technology.
