David Powers

David Powers is Senior Portfolio Manager at Coldstream Capital Management Inc., based in Bellevue, Washington. He is a member of Coldstream’s Investment Strategies Group, where he leads research efforts, provides market commentary, sources and vets fund managers, and constructs multi-asset portfolios for a range of clients including affluent individuals, families, corporate executives, and nonprofits. His role encompasses setting strategic and tactical asset allocation targets, conducting macroeconomic analysis, and overseeing manager due diligence for both equity and fixed income investments.

David specializes in broad asset allocation spanning public equities, fixed income, and pooled investment vehicles, supporting customized solutions for diverse client needs such as corporate pensions, endowments, and private foundations. He contributes actively to Coldstream’s quarterly investment strategy forums and webinars, providing insight on current market conditions and forward-looking investment approaches.

Prior to joining Coldstream, David served as Chief Investment Officer at Sandy Cove Advisors, where he developed strategic and tactical allocation guidance and performed investment research and planning for high net worth clients. He holds a BS in Finance from Bryant College and is a CFA® charterholder, recognized for his pragmatic and disciplined investment philosophy, with over 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry.
