Benjamin Jacobs

Benjamin Jacobs is the Founder, Managing Partner, and Chief Investment Officer at Anomaly Capital Management, LP, a New York-based hedge fund established in 2019. He is primarily responsible for leading the firm's investment strategy, overseeing portfolio management, and steering Anomaly's long/short equity approach, with a particular emphasis on producing risk-adjusted returns for clients.

Jacobs specializes in equity investments across cyclical sectors, consumer industries (including telecommunications, media, and technology), business services, and healthcare. Under his leadership, Anomaly Capital Management has grown to manage billions in discretionary assets, with a notable concentration in public equities and top holdings such as Hess Corp.

Previously, Jacobs was the Co-Chief Investment Officer at Viking Global Investors, one of the industry’s leading hedge funds, where he spent over a decade advancing from analyst to portfolio manager and co-CIO roles. He began his career at Blackstone Group and is an alumnus of the University of Texas at Austin. Regarded for his expertise in equities and his ability to scale high-performing teams, Jacobs is recognized as a significant figure among the "Tiger Grandcubs" for his achievements and contributions to the investment management sector.
