Lap Nguyen

Lap Nguyen is a Principal at Bardin Hill Investment Partners LP, based in New York, NY. In his current role, he is responsible for overseeing and managing investments across the firm's core strategies, with a particular focus on specialized credit, distressed and performing credit, and event-driven opportunities in both public and private markets. Bardin Hill’s mandate includes distressed, stressed, and performing credit, litigation-driven investing, merger arbitrage, and event-driven equities, aligning with Nguyen’s expertise.

Prior to becoming Principal in 2023, Nguyen served as Vice President at Bardin Hill, and previously at Intermediate Capital Group (ICG), where he contributed to credit and private capital transactions. His experience spans structured finance and alternative investments, with a track record in asset-backed, corporate, and special situation investments across multiple sectors.

Nguyen holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Rutgers University, solidifying his foundation in advanced financial analysis and investment management. His career is distinguished by his deep knowledge of U.S. and global credit markets, contributing to complex fund strategies and risk management disciplines at leading institutional investment firms.
