Tom Cubeta

Tom Cubeta is the Head of Leveraged Finance Research at Bracebridge Capital, LLC, a prominent Boston-based hedge fund manager with approximately $12 billion in net assets under management. In his current role, he focuses on driving research and investment decisions within the leveraged finance space, analyzing opportunities in credit markets and overseeing strategies related to high-yield and distressed debt instruments.

Cubeta brings extensive experience from prior positions, including serving as an Investment Analyst and Partner at Sentinel Dome Partners, LLC and as an Investment Analyst at Coastland Capital. His expertise centers around global fixed income markets, with a particular emphasis on leveraged finance, public equity, and distressed securities. He is known for his analytical depth and leadership in sector-focused research that supports Bracebridge’s capital preservation and absolute return objectives.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Williams College, along with additional academic credentials in Japanese Language and Business from Kanda University of International Studies and prior studies at Greenhill School in Dallas, TX. Cubeta’s career is marked by significant contributions to research standards in leveraged finance, supporting robust investment processes at top-tier hedge funds.
