Nicolas Vandeweerdt

Nicolas Vandeweerdt is Managing Director, Office of the CIO at Centiva Capital, LP in New York, where he oversees trading risk management and the implementation of pricing policies for non-standard risks across the firm's multi-strategy hedge fund operations. In this capacity, he directly supports Centiva's investment process, guiding risk assessment and portfolio construction with a hands-on approach that balances quantitative analytics with operational precision.

His sector expertise is anchored in interest rate derivatives, collateral management, counterparty risk, and quantitative finance, with a track record spanning diverse asset classes including fixed income, structured and vanilla interest rate products, and financial resources management. Prior to Centiva Capital, Nicolas built his career at BNP Paribas’s New York trading operations, progressing from technology and financial engineering roles to leadership positions in trading risk, resources strategy, and xVA management for the Americas region.

Nicolas holds a Master’s in Mathematical Finance from New York University and a quantitative management degree from University of Antwerp, complemented by exchange studies in economics and engineering at the University of Florida and WFI Ingolstadt.
