Sean Butkus

Sean Butkus is a Portfolio Manager at Cinctive Capital Management LP in New York, where he leads a SMID (Small and Mid-Cap) Multi-Industry portfolio with a particular focus on the consumer, industrials, and technology sectors. He joined Cinctive in January and plays a key role on their multi-manager platform, contributing to the firm's diversified investment strategies and expansion efforts.

Prior to joining Cinctive, Sean spent 24 years at Goldman Sachs, where he most recently served as Managing Director within Goldman Sachs Asset Management. During his tenure at Goldman Sachs, he specialized in both long-only and long-short strategies, with deep expertise in small and SMID cap equities. His investment approach has been shaped by 13 years of direct experience covering smaller cap equities, bringing his total investment career to 18 years.

Sean Butkus earned his undergraduate degree from Muhlenberg College and holds an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is also a CFA charterholder, demonstrating his commitment to high professional standards and in-depth investment knowledge.
