Conor Bastable

Conor Bastable is a Partner and Deputy Chief Investment Officer at Davidson Kempner Capital Management LP, based in New York. In this leadership position, he co-manages the Global Credit department and the global opportunistic credit and equity fund series, while also overseeing the firm’s Risk Management team. He has been with Davidson Kempner since 2002 and plays a central role in the firm’s senior investment leadership and strategy.

His investment activities are primarily focused on credit and equity strategies, including global opportunistic credit, event-driven finance, and risk management. Bastable's expertise encompasses investments across multiple sectors, notably in consumer services and finance, and spans both public and private markets.

Before joining Davidson Kempner, Bastable served as a Vice President at Saunders Karp & Megrue, L.P. He holds an A.B., cum laude, from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. In addition to his professional roles, he contributes to the investment industry as a board member of Prep for Prep and by serving on Princeton’s Dean’s Advisory Council.
