Jin Huang

Jin Huang is a Co-Portfolio Manager and Director of Research at FJ Capital Management LLC, an SEC-registered investment advisor based in Arlington, Virginia. In this role, he leads investment research and portfolio management for the firm’s Financial Opportunity Fund, with a focus on identifying compelling opportunities in the U.S. financial services sector, particularly within the consolidating community and regional banking industries. His responsibilities include conducting deep fundamental analysis and managing both long and short positions across public and private financial institutions.

Huang specializes in the analysis and investment of northeast and west U.S. banks, leveraging his expertise in financial sector consolidation and operating leverage. His work centers on uncovering undervalued and overvalued opportunities in the financial services landscape, with a particular emphasis on micro-cap public and private companies in the banking sector. Huang’s approach combines rigorous fundamental research with a macro perspective to drive investment decisions.

Prior to his current position, Huang served as Director of Research at FJ Capital Management and was a Board Observer for Silvergate Bank and TIG Bancorp. He has over a decade of experience in investment management, having previously held roles at Bank of Communications, AXA Wealth Management, KPMG Advisory, and Capitol Partners. Huang holds a Master of Science in Finance from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Macau, bringing a strong academic foundation to his investment expertise.
