Avery Schwartz

Avery Schwartz is a Partner at HMI Capital Management, L.P. in San Francisco, where he also serves as a member of the Investment Committee and leads the firm's investment efforts in the consumer and business services sectors. At HMI, he is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and managing investments within these industries, focusing on both public and private opportunities with a long-term, concentrated investment approach.

Before joining HMI Capital in 2019, Avery was an Associate in the Private Equity and Special Situations Group at DigitalBridge Group, where he worked across multiple sectors on diverse private equity and special situation investments. He began his investment career as a Summer Intern at Marathon Asset Management, gaining foundational experience in asset management and finance.

Avery holds a B.A. in Economics with Distinction from Yale University and is a CFA charterholder, demonstrating strong analytical and financial expertise. In addition to his professional work, he is active in philanthropy, serving on the Board of Directors for the Yours In Soccer Foundation, which supports the academic advancement of student-athletes from underserved communities.
