Eric Brown

Eric Brown is currently a Portfolio Manager at J. Goldman & Co., L.P. in New York, where he oversees investment strategies and portfolio management with a particular focus on U.S. materials and agriculture sectors. As a senior member of the investment management team since April 2021, he is recognized for his expertise in navigating complex equity markets and identifying high-potential opportunities within the materials asset class.

Prior to joining J. Goldman & Co., Brown served as Partner and Analyst at Luminus Management from 2012 to 2021, where he specialized in agriculture investments and contributed to the firm's core sector strategies. His earlier experience as an Analyst at Geosphere Capital Management (2008–2012) further strengthened his analytical skills in fundamental equity research and sector-specific investing.

Brown holds an MBA in Finance and International Business from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Government from Harvard University. His depth of experience and sector concentration in materials and agriculture have earned him acknowledgment among the top portfolio managers in the buy-side industry.
