Matthew Robins

Matthew Robins is a Quantitative Trader at Saba Capital Management, L.P., based in New York, NY. In this role, he specializes in designing and executing systematic trading strategies within the firm’s focus on credit and equity relative value strategies, integrating quantitative and technical research to generate alpha in liquid fixed income and credit-related asset classes.

Previously, Matthew worked as an Analyst at The Blackstone Group, where he focused on investment analysis and risk modeling, after having interned as a Summer Analyst at Blackstone. His investment experience spans structured credit, corporate credit, and equity derivatives, providing a solid foundation for his current responsibilities in advanced quantitative finance.

Matthew holds a Master of Science in Operations Research from MIT and a Bachelor’s in Applied Mathematics–Computer Science from Brown University. His expertise in quantitative modeling, financial analytics, and data-driven strategies underpins his ability to contribute to Saba’s market-leading investment approaches in credit and equity markets.
