Austin Stephen

Austin Stephen is a Partner and Head of Business Development at Tremblant Capital Group, a global asset management firm based in New York, NY. He joined Tremblant in 2014 and previously served as a Portfolio Manager, overseeing investments in a generalist capacity spanning multiple sectors and geographies. Currently, Stephen’s responsibilities include leading client relations, capital raising, and strategic business initiatives for the firm.

Stephen’s investment focus has ranged across various public equity sectors, leveraging Tremblant’s fundamental research-driven approach to identify long/short and long-only opportunities. He has developed expertise in evaluating secular and structural changes within industries, with a generalist purview, rather than focusing exclusively on one sector.

Before joining Tremblant, he worked at Advent International and began his career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Lehman Brothers. Stephen holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Finance and Accounting from Indiana University, reflecting deep expertise in equity research, business development, and institutional asset management.
