Chris Barnes

Chris Barnes is a Partner at Skye Global Management, where he plays a key role in portfolio construction, investment research, and the evaluation of new opportunities for the firm. Since his promotion in December 2023, he has been integral to the firm’s strategic decisions and drives analytical initiatives that support Skye Global’s investment objectives.

Prior to becoming Partner, Chris served as Investment Analyst at Skye Global Management, where he focused on deep fundamental analysis and contributed to the firm’s positions in public equities. Before joining Skye, he was an Associate at KKR & Co. Inc., a leading global investment firm, where he gained significant experience in evaluating large-cap opportunities and cross-sector investments.

Chris holds a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Mathematics from Pomona College, providing him with a rigorous quantitative background. His expertise includes public equity investing with an emphasis on technology and consumer sectors, and he is recognized for combining analytical rigor with innovative investment approaches. He has contributed to research in applied mathematics and machine learning, as demonstrated by his academic and professional track record.
