Robert Vogel

Robert J. Vogel is a Partner and Chief Investment Officer at Whitebox Advisors LLC, an alternative asset manager headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In his current role, he oversees investment strategy and chairs the firm's investment committee, directing capital allocation and risk across Whitebox’s multiple strategies.

Vogel’s expertise spans a variety of asset classes, with a particular focus on corporate credit, municipal bonds, event-driven, and relative value strategies. Notably, under his leadership, Whitebox Advisors has been recognized for successful investments in complex distressed securities, such as Puerto Rico's municipal bonds and convertible debt, achieving standout performance even in challenging market years.

Prior to joining Whitebox, Vogel was a principal at Merced Capital LP. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and an MBA from the University of Minnesota, underpinning his broad expertise in credit markets and alternative investment strategies.
