Ryan Paulsen

Ryan Paulsen is a Senior Trader at Wolverine Trading, where he has been responsible for executing and managing complex trading strategies since July 2013. In this role, he oversees high-volume trading operations, focusing on derivatives and equities, and plays a key part in developing and implementing risk management protocols for the firm’s trading desk. His expertise lies in options, futures, and other derivative instruments, with a strong emphasis on market-making and proprietary trading strategies.

Paulsen specializes in the financial services sector, with a particular focus on equity derivatives and structured products. His work involves analyzing market trends, pricing volatility, and managing portfolios across a range of asset classes, including equities, fixed income, and commodities. Prior to joining Wolverine Trading, Paulsen served as a Derivatives Trader at Timber Hill from June 1998 to July 2013, where he gained extensive experience in options market-making and risk management. He holds a degree in Business, Economics, Management, and Political Science from Gustavus Adolphus College, as well as a degree in Finance and Business from Loras College. Throughout his career, Paulsen has been recognized for his contributions to the trading industry, particularly in the development of innovative trading strategies and his leadership in fostering a culture of disciplined risk management.
