Arthur Fischer-Zernin

Arthur Fischer-Zernin is Managing Director at AQR Capital Management, based in New York, NY, where he serves as a senior member of the Specialized Investments Group. In this role, he focuses on investment strategies where laws and regulations significantly impact trading, portfolio construction, and vehicle selection, and he oversees the design and management of tax-aware funds and accounts.

Arthur’s core expertise spans alternative risk premia, multi-strategy products, and portfolio solutions for institutional and high-net-worth clients. He has been instrumental in developing and managing customized equity strategies such as AQR's Flex SMAs, which are tailored to generate pre-tax alpha and manage tax liabilities for portfolios with significant appreciated holdings or anticipated liquidity events.

Before his current leadership position, Arthur held various research and portfolio management roles at AQR since 2010 and began his career as an analyst at Morgan Stanley. He is a CFA charterholder and holds a B.S.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University, combining rigorous analytical training with deep industry experience in quantitative investment management.
