Adrian Cronje

Adrian Cronje is the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Investment Officer, and Founding Partner at Balentine, a boutique wealth management firm based in Atlanta, GA. He oversees the firm’s strategic vision, leads investment policy, and manages client relationships for high-net-worth families and business owners. Under his leadership, Balentine has achieved significant national recognition, including being named to Barron’s Top 100 Independent Advisors, and has grown exponentially in both assets under management and client impact.

Adrian’s investment expertise covers capital markets, alternative investments, and strategic asset allocation, with a primary focus on multi-asset portfolios for entrepreneurs, business owners, and their families. He is particularly noted for his leadership in alternative assets, asset management, and advising on wealth transition and legacy planning, as well as bringing intentionality to investment strategies aligned with client goals.

Before co-founding Balentine, Adrian held senior roles including Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Strategist at Wilmington Trust and Director of Quantitative Equity Products at Schroders in London. He holds a Ph.D. and a Master’s in Economics and Finance from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor’s in Economics from the University of Cape Town, is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and was recognized by Barron’s and Atlanta Business Chronicle for his contributions to the industry.
