John Zaro

John A. Zaro, III is the founder and Managing Member at Bourgeon Capital Management LLC, based in New Canaan, CT. In this role, he leads the firm’s investment strategy and client partnerships, focusing on high-net-worth individuals, families, and foundations to help them meet their financial objectives through customized portfolio management.

He brings over two decades of senior-level experience from prominent positions at Warburg Pincus Asset Management—where he implemented new investment processes for private clients—as well as portfolio management and leadership roles at J.P. Morgan Investment Management, Morgan Stanley, Jefferies & Company, and Smith Barney. Zaro’s expertise spans equity and multi-asset class investing for affluent and institutional clients, with a particular emphasis on tailored wealth management and private client services.

John Zaro holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics from Stanford University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), as well as a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts. He is recognized for his client-focused approach and commitment to building enduring partnerships grounded in integrity, transparency, and innovation in multi-asset investing.
