Trey Crain

Trey Crain is a Partner and Portfolio Manager at Oxbow Advisors, LLC, based in Houston, Texas, where he oversees portfolio management and serves as an investment advisor representative. He is also a member of the firm’s investment committee, contributing to asset allocation and investment strategy decisions for a diverse set of client portfolios.

His investment responsibilities include identifying opportunities across both public and private markets, with a focus on high-net-worth individuals and family offices. Crain is known for his work in partnership with the Southbound Capital, LLC group, where he helps source private investment opportunities, further expanding his expertise in alternative assets and private market deals.

Before joining Oxbow Advisors in 2011, Crain worked as a Financial Services Professional at MassMutual–Strategic Financial Group and began his career as a Field Landman at Everest Resource Company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Rice University, equipping him with a strong analytical foundation for his roles in portfolio strategy and client advisory.
