David Code

David Code is a Partner at Promus Holdings, LLC, based in Chicago, Illinois, where he serves in the firm's private equity group. In this role, he helps lead Promus’s strategic relationship and marketing functions, and is actively engaged in the sourcing, due diligence, execution, and ongoing portfolio management of direct private equity investments. He also serves on the boards of multiple portfolio companies, playing a pivotal role in their strategic oversight and growth.

With more than a decade at Promus, David has steadily progressed from Vice President to Principal, before being named Partner in 2024. His investment expertise spans a range of industries, specifically focusing on private equity investments across consumer products, industrial growth, education, and business services sectors. He is also an investment committee member for Promus’s real estate strategy, contributing to both equity and real asset allocation decisions.

Prior to joining Promus in 2011, David worked as an analyst at Lincoln International, a global investment bank. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the University of Colorado Boulder, providing a strong foundation for his analytical and strategic skills within private markets and alternative asset classes.
