Eric Kuby

Eric Kuby is the Chief Investment Officer at North Star Investment Management Corp. in Chicago, where he oversees the firm's investment strategies and chairs the Investment Committee. With more than 40 years of experience serving both institutional and individual clients, he directs all aspects of the firm's portfolio management and research initiatives, guiding a team responsible for over $2 billion in client assets.

Kuby acts as portfolio manager for a range of North Star’s mutual funds, including the Micro Cap Fund, Opportunity Fund, Bond Fund, Dividend Fund, and Small Cap Value Fund. His investment focus is particularly centered on small- and micro-cap equities as well as fixed income strategies, emphasizing companies with strong or improving fundamentals. He is also known for providing market insights through his podcast and weekly commentary, with expertise covering multiple sectors, notably utilities, energy, and dividend-paying stocks.
