Garrett Cayet is the Chief Investment Officer at SFMG Wealth Advisors, where he leads the firm's investment strategy and oversees the construction and management of client portfolios. Based in the Dallas area, Garrett is responsible for setting asset allocation, implementing risk management frameworks, and directing overall investment research for the firm.

Garrett's investment expertise spans global equities, fixed income, alternative investments, and emerging markets. He has particular experience evaluating diversified portfolios across sectors, incorporating both public market securities and non-traditional asset classes, with a focus on tailoring solutions to high-net-worth and institutional clients.

Prior to his CIO appointment in 2021, Garrett served as SFMG’s Manager of Investment Research and an Investment Analyst, building a strong foundation in portfolio construction and market analysis. He holds a degree in Finance (Investment Management) from the Texas McCombs School of Business and in International Finance, Emerging Markets from ESCP-EAP, and is a CFA charterholder, reflecting his commitment to investment excellence and professional integrity.
