David Bilik

David Bilik is a Partner and Portfolio Manager at Sound Shore Management, Inc., based in Greenwich, Connecticut. He has been instrumental in co-leading Sound Shore’s disciplined fundamental value strategy, focusing primarily on large-cap U.S. equities. As a member of the firm’s Investment Committee, David takes on lead analyst roles in stock-specific research, leveraging a contrarian, research-driven approach to identify undervalued opportunities overlooked by the broader market.

David’s investment expertise encompasses sectors such as financial services, energy, and technology, where he applies Sound Shore’s systematic valuation discipline to uncover long-term potential in companies experiencing industry or business disruption. Prior to joining Sound Shore in 2003, David was an Analyst at Morgan Stanley and served as a Latin America Economist for Schroders Investment, giving him a broad perspective on global markets.

David holds a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Williams College. His significant career achievements include helping drive Sound Shore’s investment process and performance over full market cycles, contributing directly to client outcomes and the evolution of the firm’s long-term, value-oriented philosophy.
