j.b O'Banion

J.B. O’Banion is Managing Partner and principal at Titleist Asset Management, LLC, which he co-founded in 2003. Based in San Antonio, Texas, he leads the firm’s strategy and serves on the investment committee, providing customized portfolio management services for individuals, company retirement plans, and institutions.

O’Banion has over 20 years of experience across multiple asset classes, with particular expertise in equities, fixed income, and derivatives trading. His professional background includes senior roles as an equity and derivatives trader at CyberTrader, Inc. (a Charles Schwab division) and as a bond trader in the fixed income and equity division at Frost Bank. He specializes in developing and implementing investment strategies tailored to complex client needs, with a focus on securities analysis, portfolio construction, and risk management.

After earning his degree from Texas State University, O’Banion worked at Morgan Stanley assisting clients with comprehensive financial planning and wealth management. He holds several FINRA and SEC securities licenses and is recognized for his contributions to portfolio management and his leadership in expanding Titleist Asset Management’s presence within the registered investment advisor (RIA) space.
