Jim Meyer

Jim Meyer is Chief Investment Officer and founding principal at Tower Bridge Advisors, located in Conshohocken, PA. He serves as Chairman of the Investment Committee, overseeing security selection and portfolio management for a diverse client base, and is recognized as the firm’s key investment strategist. Meyer’s expertise prominently spans individual equities and fixed-income securities, with research and market commentary focusing on banking, economic trends, and valuation. He routinely provides perspective on macroeconomic shifts such as Federal deficits, banking sector dynamics, and broader market valuation, tailoring portfolios to meet each client's specific needs.

Prior to establishing Tower Bridge Advisors in 2001, Meyer served for nearly three decades as Senior Vice-President and Director of Research at Janney Montgomery Scott, where he chaired the Investment Policy Committee and led firmwide research efforts. He has held leadership roles in the financial analyst community and contributed to accounting standards initiatives, including serving on the AIMR’s Financial Accounting Policy Committee and participating in Financial Accounting Standards Board task forces.

Meyer holds a B.S. in Accounting from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business.
