David Atterbury

David Atterbury is President and Portfolio Manager of Whetstone Capital Advisors, LLC, a registered investment adviser based in Mission, Kansas. He founded the firm in 2010 and holds ultimate responsibility for its management, operations, and investment decisions, serving high-net-worth individuals and institutions through private investment funds and separate accounts. His leadership focuses on identifying and managing equity investments in the technology and digital economy sectors, as demonstrated by Whetstone's major holdings in companies such as Cloudflare, Monday.com, Alphabet, and Amazon.

Prior to founding Whetstone, Atterbury built his investment expertise at value-oriented firms such as DS Advisors, the 1818 Partners Fund at Brown Brothers Harriman, Return Holdings, Ashkenazy Acquisition Corp, and Merrill Lynch. He is also a co-founder of GreenShoot Innovation, extending his investment efforts to innovative early-stage ventures.
