Paul Parsons

Paul Parsons is a Portfolio Manager and Analyst in Northcape Capital’s Australian Equities team, based in Sydney, NSW. He is responsible for managing Australian share portfolios and providing in-depth research and analysis for various Australian equities funds, including those offered in partnership with Warakirri. Paul joined Northcape in 2011 and has over 14 years of investment management experience, focusing on identifying quality companies with strong competitive advantages, regardless of short-term market sentiment.

His investment coverage spans diversified financials, insurance, and toll roads, and he is particularly noted for a value-driven approach that seeks mispriced companies expected to outperform the market over the medium term. Paul’s expertise lies in conducting rigorous research without specific sector or style bias, although his team assignments and specializations include the sectors mentioned above.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Newcastle and is a Chartered Accountant, underpinning his analytical and financial expertise. Throughout his career, he has managed significant assets—including over A$8 billion as part of the broader Northcape team—and contributed to the development of robust peer-reviewed portfolio construction processes at Northcape, which have delivered value-added returns across Australian equities.
