Jiyoung Yoon

Jiyoung Yoon is a Research Associate at Ariel Investments, based in New York, where she is a member of the global equities team with a primary focus on the consumer staples sector. In this role, she supports international and global equity research efforts, analyzing leading companies within the consumer products and retail industries.

Prior to joining Ariel Investments in 2022, Jiyoung served as Senior Vice President in the Exchange Traded Products (ETP) Market division at Korea Exchange, where she gained substantial experience in public capital markets, business development, product strategy, and regulatory operations over an eight-year tenure. She has also contributed to the venture capital sector as an MBA Student Fellow at Lakeshore Ventures, expanding her expertise to early-stage investments.

Jiyoung holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Statistics and Economics from Ewha Womans University. Her cross-market background and technical proficiency in statistics underpin her analytical approach to global market trends and consumer staples investing.
