Darren Weems

Darren Weems is a Co-Portfolio Manager, Equity Research Analyst, and Partner at DePrince, Race & Zollo, Inc., based in Orlando, FL, where he has served since 2007. His primary responsibilities include co-managing the firm's Micro-Cap Value discipline and serving as a Senior Research Analyst supporting the Small-Cap and SMID-Cap Value strategies, with a focus on U.S. micro-cap, small-cap, and smid-cap equities.

Before joining DePrince, Race & Zollo, Inc., Mr. Weems worked as an equity research analyst at SunTrust Bank (formerly Trusco Capital Management) and served as Director of Research as well as an equity research analyst at SouthTrust Asset Management. Across these roles, he has built significant expertise in bottom-up fundamental analysis and value investing within U.S. equity markets, with an emphasis on uncovering opportunities in less efficiently followed companies.

Mr. Weems holds both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Accountancy from the University of Southern Mississippi and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) as well as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He is recognized for his thorough industry research and disciplined investment approach, significantly contributing to the firm's reputation in micro-cap and small-cap value investing.
