Brandon Bajema

Brandon Bajema is Co-Chief Investment Officer and Partner at Red Cedar Investment Management, LLC, based in Grand Rapids, MI. In this leadership role, he is responsible for co-developing, maintaining, and overseeing the firm’s investment strategies, with a particular focus on its flagship Strategic Income and Preferred & Income Securities strategies. He brings a global macro perspective and implements specialized research across the capital structure to deliver high-quality, income-producing solutions for institutional clients.

Bajema's investment expertise centers on global fixed income, multi-currency credit portfolios, preferred securities, and income-producing asset classes, including both investment grade and high yield mandates. His experience covers banks, asset managers, finance companies, and insurance companies, reflecting deep knowledge in financial sector corporate credit as well as cross-sector opportunities in income-generating securities.

Prior to joining Red Cedar in 2021, Bajema was a Portfolio Manager at Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), managing global credit portfolios of $1-2 billion USD equivalency. He previously served as Director in the Financial Institutions Group at Fitch Ratings, and as an Audit Manager at BDO focusing on banks and insurance companies. Brandon holds a BS in Economics and an MSA in Accounting from Grand Valley State University; he is a CFA charterholder and a CPA (inactive).
