Jonathan Browne

Jonathan Browne is a Portfolio Manager and Senior Investment Analyst at RiverNorth Capital Management, LLC, based in Grosse Pointe, MI. He joined RiverNorth in 2022 and is primarily responsible for managing closed-end fund (CEF) municipal income strategies, with key duties including research and trading of RiverNorth’s CEF and special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) investment strategies.

Jonathan’s investment expertise centers on municipal income securities and the closed-end fund universe, with a particular emphasis on municipal bond funds and SPACs. At RiverNorth, he focuses on sourcing opportunities in the municipal bond market and executing specialized strategies within closed-end funds and related vehicles.

Prior to RiverNorth, Jonathan was Portfolio Manager and Director of Research at Robinson Capital Management, where he co-managed mutual funds dedicated to CEFs and SPACs, and also oversaw research initiatives related to these asset classes. He began his career as a Research Analyst at Robinson Capital and also held roles at Federated Hermes. Jonathan holds both a B.S. and an MBA in Finance and Economics from Carnegie Mellon University, underscoring his strong quantitative and analytical foundation for investment management.
