Patrick Galley

Patrick Galley is the Chief Investment Officer and Chief Executive Officer of RiverNorth Capital Management, LLC, based in Chicago. He is responsible for strategic planning, business development, and overseeing all portfolio management activities at the firm, where he also serves as President and Chairman of RiverNorth's proprietary funds. RiverNorth specializes in opportunistic strategies across niche markets, with a primary focus on closed-end funds, open-end funds, hedge funds, fund of funds, structured investment vehicles, and insurance/reinsurance companies.

Before joining RiverNorth in 2004, Patrick was Vice President in the Global Corporate Investment Banking division at Bank of America, where he specialized in analyzing and structuring corporate transactions for a range of investment management entities. His career reflects extensive expertise in portfolio management, fund structure analysis, and corporate transactions within the asset management sector.

Patrick holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance, graduating with honors from the Rochester Institute of Technology, and is a CFA Charterholder. He is recognized for advancing specialty investment strategies that leverage market inefficiencies, and is actively involved with the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Chicago, marking him as a prominent contributor to the investment management industry.
