John Harris

John Harris is the Managing Partner at Ruane Cunniff LP, based in Chicago, Illinois, where he leads the firm’s long-standing, research-driven investment approach. In this role, he oversees multiple investment strategies, including managing the Wishbone private partnerships and serving as co-portfolio manager on the Poplar partnerships, while also sitting on the Sequoia Strategy Investment Committee and the firm’s Management Committee. Ruane Cunniff is known for its deep fundamental research and long-term value orientation, with core strategies investing in public equities and equity-like securities globally, spanning various geographies and market capitalizations.

John Harris’s investment expertise centers on concentrated, opportunistic strategies that target durable businesses and mispriced assets, with significant exposure to sectors such as technology, consumer, financial services, and industrials through both flagship funds and private vehicles.
