Sean Roach

Sean Roach is an Equity Trader at Systematic Financial Management, bringing over 22 years of experience in the investment industry. In his current role, he is responsible for executing buy and sell orders and supporting the investment process for the firm’s institutional and private client portfolios, focusing on value-oriented trading strategies within small and mid-cap U.S. equities. Systematic Financial Management specializes in identifying high-quality, undervalued companies with strong financial health, and Sean’s work is integral to maintaining the firm’s disciplined approach in sectors such as U.S. small- and mid-cap equities and related asset classes.

Prior to joining Systematic, Sean served as Senior Vice President - Institutional Trading at Abel Noser Holdings, LLC for over 14 years, where he gained significant expertise in institutional equity trading and execution for a broad client base. He also held the role of Vice President of Equity Trading at BNY Mellon, further deepening his expertise in equity markets and trading operations. Throughout his career, Sean has been recognized for building strong relationships with institutional clients and contributing to efficient, client-focused trading solutions.

Sean holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Rochester and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Performance from the Eastman School of Music. His broad educational background, combined with extensive industry experience, has enabled him to deliver disciplined execution and value for institutional investors across multiple U.S. equity strategies.
