Matthew Fitzgerald

Matthew Fitzgerald is Regional Vice President for the Central Plains region at Tortoise Capital Advisors, L.L.C., based in Leawood, Kansas. In this capacity since 2012, he manages client relationships, business development, and distribution efforts across a ten-state territory including KS, MO, IA, NE, CO, MN, SD, ND, WY, and MT. His responsibilities focus on serving institutional investors, financial advisors, and other key stakeholders within his region.

At Tortoise, Matthew specializes in energy infrastructure and sustainable investment strategies, with an emphasis on MLPs (Master Limited Partnerships), pipeline companies, utilities, and ESG-focused assets. The firm is well known for its deep expertise in essential asset sectors such as energy, power, water, and renewables, and Matthew is actively engaged in representing these investment opportunities to clients in the Central Plains region.

Matthew holds an MBA from Rockhurst University and a BBA from Texas Christian University. His professional credentials are complemented by more than a decade of experience in asset management, client relations, and investment marketing, establishing him as a knowledgeable advisor in the areas of energy transition, sustainable income, and real asset strategies.
