Jake Mazotas

Jake Mazotas is a Partner at Aristeia Capital LLC, an alternative asset manager headquartered in Greenwich, CT. He became a Partner in January 2022, after joining the firm in 2007 as an analyst and later advancing to Senior Analyst roles. In his current capacity, Mazotas is responsible for helping to lead the investment team and overseeing key strategies within the firm’s portfolio.

His expertise spans both equity and credit strategies, with a specific focus on capital structure arbitrage, high yield, and distressed credit. He has led several notable investment initiatives at Aristeia, including the firm's first co-investments, demonstrating a strong ability to identify and execute unique opportunities across the capital structure.

Mazotas began his career as a Senior Engineer at UTC Power before transitioning to finance. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and a Master of Science in Management with a concentration in Finance from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. His background brings a blend of technical rigor and financial acumen, contributing significantly to Aristeia’s successful investment track record.
