Michael Costelloe

Michael Costelloe is a Senior Analyst at Aristeia Capital LLC, based in New York, where he specializes in special situations and distressed investing, with a focus on the corporate credit markets. In this role, he is responsible for researching, evaluating, and executing investments across stressed, distressed, and event-driven opportunities, supporting the firm’s absolute return strategies.

Before joining Aristeia Capital in March 2021, Costelloe was Vice President at Greenhill & Co., where he concentrated on restructuring advisory and previously served as an associate focusing on both mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructuring. Earlier in his career, he gained experience as an analyst and associate at notable investment and banking firms, and served as a Lieutenant Junior Grade in the U.S. Navy, managing supply operations for Submarine Squadron 6.

Costelloe holds an MBA with Dean’s Honors from Columbia Business School’s prestigious Value Investing Program, and a B.S. in Quantitative Economics and French from the United States Naval Academy, with additional studies in International Economics at The London School of Economics. His expertise centers on special situations, distressed assets, and restructuring within the broader corporate credit sector.
